Well, I got one in the end! I've been lusting after one of these for quite some time now. I spotted a comment from @bddbuk in the classifieds here that he might have one for sale. I sent a message and the rest is now history! I went over this morning and as soon as I held it I knew it was the guitar for me. Thanks Benoit, great to meet you.

The condition is exceptional, it's so clean it might as well be brand new - hard to believe it's from 2018. The action is low and it plays beautifully. I have some really average photo's which don't come close to showing how lovely this guitar is. Very happy. Martin know how to make a guitar, the finish is utterly impeccable. Their robots are amazing at buffing!!

ps I'm keeping the Atkin... for now.

    ah - nice,  pretty much all the higher end Martins Ive tried have been soft Vs  -  the cheaper ones, (ie the ones with the horrid plywood necks)  almost Les Paul baseball bat size

    Hey Bertie, I'd say a low oval describes it well, but with slightest of ever so slightest soft V.
