I've tried stupid amounts of these. Best going is the Latent Lemon Hurts. Gets the sound of the original nailed. Couldn't hear much difference in direct comparison, but you can tweak the lemon far more for different percolator type sounds.

Apologies for being slow to update that thread - I played a gig this weekend for the first time since the start of the pandemic! So was travelling etc.

I really rate the standard Fredric Effects version.

This one I (Fredric Effects) build is an exact clone of the original 1970s pedal. It uses the same mojo parts as the overpriced Theremoniacs clone, but has three clipping options, DC power and rotary pots instead of sliders.

If you want an improved Harmonic Perc then lots of companies do these, including FE, Catalinbread, Latent Lemon, Land Devices and others.

@timhulio cheers for that, of the two you make which would you recommend? The utility or the original? (Sorry if that's a hard question to answer).

I'd recommend the Utility Perkolator. It has the switchable low pass filter and the extra ring mod circuit so it's more versatile but you can still get the same sounds as the original Harmonic Perc.

Have you had a look at the Zander Circuitry Cafetiere? Great percolator type pedal with tons of options.

They've just released their latest version of it, but the older version pops up cheaper once in a while.

I am interested in the Zander Cafetiere to be honest. It sounds great in the demos and the controls look intuitive despite there being so many of them
