Hi all, I'm after a set of SSS strat pickups to upgrade the stock set in my squier strat. I'm not after anything too fancy (think e.g. stock pickups out of a "proper" fender strat) but of course could be tempted by something better for the right price. I don't mind if they are straight single coils, rails, single coil sized humbuckers etc, just something with a bit more character than the stock set. Cash waiting, or if you are interested in my Boss ME-5 (available elsewhere on the board!) then let me know.

    Funny, was just chatting to @CFH (thanks for the head's up!) earlier and mentioned I was going to list some strat pickups.

    I have a set - bridge is a Bare Knuckle Cobra (very high output ceramic single coil) - it looks like a rail pickup, but its not. I took it out of a strat I bought years ago, along with the middle and neck which I was told were Bare Knuckle Boot Camp True Grit pickups - I'm not sure they are coz they don't look like the current ones on the website, but they are definitely nice Alnico pickups and sounded fine.  The Cobra sounds like a normal single coil too but with gain it really comes alive.

    All 3 are used, have decent length of wire still, and I think (but would have to check) that I've all screws and springs etc. If you're interested, drop me a line. The Cobra is around £90 new I think. I'd be looking for say £60 posted for all 3.  I can send pics if you like - if not, I'll probably list them over the weekend anyway.
