My first experience of selling something that costly on gumtree though, you don't half get some optimistic offers coming in!
I had a guy message me last week saying he was in Rochdale and could I deliver a pedal board costing £30.
No sorry I said, but I'm in Oldham on Saturday.
Great he said, I can get off the tram on the way home from Manchester and collect it. The later the better he said.
So we arranged 10pm, and I took the pedal board with me on the way out. It fitted in with my plans.
I messaged him an hour before just to check and got this response
"Actually, I don’t think I’ll be able to make it. Will be around these parts any other time soon?"
No I said - but you can get it posted to you for a fiver...
His response - "I prefer to meet in person, really. No worries!"
I sometimes wonder what planet these idiots live on. I've also had similar dreamers on here with amps....they plan the deal to the Nth degree then just make excuses. Must give them some kind of pleasure I guess.......
