Fretless Banjo questions

So in my quest for a Fretless intrument - I have recently been pondering a fretless banjo. Now I basically know very little on banjos, but looking around there are a few designs and wondered what I should look for?

Bear in mind that this particular banjo would be nylon strung, mostly. What should I look out for and what is preferable? I see tacks and clamps and resonators and so on.

I used to have a Cümbüs, which is a "banjo" version of an oud. Fretless and amazing but not quite for me. I brought two back from İstanbul the first time I went. They were bonkers and had formica fingerboards and bolt-on necks.

I bought them and a Cümbüs mandolin directly from the outlet.

I don't know much about fretless banjos, but I do know that stringless banjos sound better than most other banjos.
