What's Hot
Any recommendations? Or unrealistic for something playable for a total beginner?

I recently played a Tanglewood Crossroads TWCR O E which was pretty decent for the money, £160 thereabouts. I you can find a used guitar better quality and playabilty would be better

  • Thanks, @Jaycee - it’s for my cousin, for his wife, and he wants a new one. That’s a solid start.

  • +1 on the Tanglewood Crossroads OM sized electro..
Picked one up recently as I was in a shop pondering an acoustic for knocking about on.
The shop had done a decent set up and it felt great.
All laminate of course, but plays and sounds fine.

I got an old Norman second hand for well under £200, think it was under £100 actually and it's really nice. I've done some recording with it and had comments on how nice and warm it sounds.

Edit; sorry just noticed the "new" part.

Vintage V300, either the spruce or mahogany top model - superb for the money, just under £200 new. I've got the mahogany one - it's not only playable, it's a genuinely good guitar.

  • This thing punches well above it's price tag - https://www.peachguitars.com/cort-earth-80-natural-satin.htm

The Cort stuff is really good value for money, super comfortable and a huge sound!
