WTB Lace Dually in Cream

Anyone got one for sale? Specifically cream rather than white to match my neck and middle.

I’ve also got one in white that I could trade for it although that’s a long shot.

  • I have a Purple/Green one in cream. I may even have it listed in Parts £

Which model do you have in white?

  • Hiya. Got a gold gold one at the moment in white If it’s of any interest? Sounds lovely but looks weird having a bright white bridge and cream neck and middle! I’ll see if I can find your ad.

  • Couldn’t find the ad. How much did you want for the dually if you don’t fancy a gold? Cheers.

  • I cannot find my old listing either. I probably listed a bunch of pickups in a single ad without including the words Lace Sensor or Dually in the thread title.

FYI, my Dually has the later version of the plastic covers with a pronounced ridge around the top edge. (Individual Sensors of this generation have brass threaded inserts at each end of their moulded plastic coversThe early ones did not. Instead, the threads were in a metal strip.)

The correct model name for my Dually is Purple/Emerald. The former gives a touch more output for the bridge/Treble position. The latter will balance better with your middle position Sensor. For real power, it is necessary to link both coils in series.

I need to check the output conductor lengths. My price is £50 PP F&F shipped.
    Be seeing you.

  • Hiya, sorry, been camping up in the highlands all weekend so been pretty off the grid. Sounds good to me assuming it’s got enough cable left. Will probably ask ICBM to fit it for me as I’m cack handed with a soldering iron so sure he can figure something out if it’s only a bit short.

  • Three of the conductors are 280mm. The other two are a gnat’s over 340mm. i.e. Just enough for the neck position, if needs be.

Good idea. There are numerous ways to add the two coils of the purple/emerald Dually to your existing circuit. The maestro should be able to devise something to suit you.

  • I'd be sticking it in the bridge in place of the gold-gold that's there at the moment so should hopefully be fine... Although I'm not being daft and it can be used in the bridge? It's slightly higher output that the regular gold-gold I've currently got so I've assume so. The lace site says either bridge or neck but not sure if they have 2 different versions or the same pickup but works in either slot. Their site is pretty old school.

I'll PM you when I get back home rather that on my mobile and can ping you over some cash via PPG and my address.

  • On a right-handed guitar, the purple sensor goes nearer the bridge and the emerald sensor goes nearer the fingerboard.
