Hello all,

I will like to trade my strat body (tuxedo black), fully equiped with all original parts (pickups, pots, switch etc) for an older/lighter 70s body. Mine is a northern ash body, the whole guitar weighs 4,5kg and i want to swap the body for an earlier version, alder wood, trem equiped. I will consider also bodies that are routed for humbucker in the bridge position (actually prefer them) since i want to install an HS pickguard and don`t want to mess the original body that i have so i will prefer to trade it fully equipped for an early alder body, humbucker routed with trem on it!

PS. For an honest offer i might consider to sell the guitar as it is and buy an US strat that would support my HS configuration (due to the factory routing)

    If I were you, I would keep it safe and get a replacement body from Guitarbuild or Warmoth. You can spec the weight and the configuration. The original body may be heavy, as are a lot of 70s Fenders, but a few years from now, (if not already) an all original 70s Strat will be worth a few quid. I have regretted selling original parts later, and after neck and body swaps, I now have a Strat like Trigger's broom with virtually no resale value.

    @RickLucas you are absolutely right, i often think about that, but not only from the value perspective, money isn't really the key, i had an 86 les paul custom that i sold for good money and i still think of it, although all my life I 've been a strat guy... Your post made me rethink everything so i'll withdraw this add.
