Sounds very nice indeed. I do find the look of the PRS headstock on an acoustic a little jarring for some reason but that's possibly just as I'm not used to seeing it.

Looking at the headstock more closely this looks like an SE model as well, not a USA.

Definitely and SE and definitely a concerted marketing effort at the moment - loads of artists "teasing" it on Instagram etc.

Does the world really need this?

I'm personally more interested in what happened with PRS' plan to build an acoustic guitar production line in the USA to generate more affordable acoustics. They got taxpayer money for it and everything... $300k from two levels of government, for a three year project that started in 2015 and should have been done a long time ago. Wonder where that cash went...

Looks like they’ve launched now. Will the acoustic Wide Fat neck profile be the same as the electric Wide Fat profile used on my Hollowbody SE?

Think it looks great I like smaller body acoustics and I like PRS guitars so I am sold but then I need another guitar like.

I love it apart from the headstock. I'm surprised they haven't put the Santana headstock on these - would be much better.

I hate the Santana headstock, looks all mutated and weird to me.

Looks great, I'd love to try one to see how the smaller body feels. I'm quite tempted.

A pet peeve of mine are how many including guitar makers call any acoustic guitar which is smaller than an OM/Dreadnought a 'Parlor' guitar.

Difficult to tell from the pictures but that guitar looks about the same size as 00, which is around a 14" lower bout.

For a parlor guitar to be a true 'parlor' guitar it has to be 12" or less.

The PRS 'Parlor' isn't a Parlor but most likely a 00, calling it a parlor is like calling a Dreadnought a Super Jumbo.

Mate, they can't even spell parlour correctly...

Hate the headstock and a "parlour" should be 12 fret.

    No.

There are a lot of things that the world doesn't need that it has:

    The Star Wars prequel movies

    TV shows about the Kardashians

TV shows about orange people in Essex

    Soap Operas

    "The Hundred" in cricket

The release of the 97,009th variation on a Tube Screamer

YouTube channels for kids to watch other people playing games instead of playing themselves

Pointless discussions on internet forums, plus 1001 other things.

On the list of things the world doesn't really need, this guitar is a bit of an afterthought.  I do quite like the look of it though.

    No!

Not for me , I'm currently struggling to justify THIS situation.

Difficult one, as there is no room left on the sofa , and I'm making her sit on the floor. :)

I think PRS is dammed in the acoustic market but it's interesting there are loads of headstock designs I genuinely would never buy a guitar with as they simply annoy me  Heritage and CBS Fender totally irritate me which is a bit ridiculous but for some reason, PRS is not one of them and I like their guitars. As said technically probably not a parlour in the truest sense but I really like smaller guitars for songwriting and recording always end up eq ing most of my old dreadnaught out of the mix if I use it to record. The Taylor Mini or the cheap 000 all record way better in my mind.

That headstock is a travesty on an acoustic.
