Needed black FR vibrato to complete old Charvel Model series project. Found Charvel-badged Schaller on t'Bay.

Still interested in Jackson JT-6, any condition, provided that the base plate is intact. Not fussed about finish colour.
Be seeing you.

The sustain block in your photographs looks taller than the one on my elderly Charvel Model 3. What are its dimensions?

I have a few and I also have some upgraded parts for them too.
We do a cold rolled steel block which improves things a lot and also the option of a floyd rose push in bar rather than the original Jackson one with the two nylon washers

What is the Charvel Badged Schaller …
It is a 371 with “Made By Schaller In Germany” cast into the baseplate near the arm and a Charvel script logo where the Schaller logo usually appears.

I bought it pre-owned from a well-known eBay parts seller. Saddles turned out to be non-Schaller. Now, I need to buy genuine German saddles with the short/fat lock screws or and acceptable substitute.

… and will you still want it?
    Hell, yeah!

My long term plan is for the German vibrato to go on my Gilmourish Model 3/1 Charvel and a Taiwanese hybrid one on my Model 2 bitsa project.

The easiest way to achieve this would be to have three vibratos in hand. That way, I can crib the required intonation settings before disassembly.

Some combination of an unbroken JT-6 baseplate plus aftermarket steel block and arm upgrades would enable me to turn my collection of spare parts into a workable vibrato bridge.

GraphTech Ghost saddles might be of interest if they had Schaller compatible lock screws.

Overall, I seem to be talking myself out of this whole idea.

  • I have a spare base plate too if that's all you want?
As opposed to a full jt6?

A working baseplate would be most welcome.

Would you prefer money or guitar-related stuff by way of exchange?

    No, thank you.

I am specifically after the JT-6 baseplate … and only because of its unique/stupid sustain block fastening screw spacing.

The other vibrato for which I seek parts is the Ibanez Pro Rock’r. Namely, the “T” piece linking the intonation screw to the saddle.

There is a Reverb USA seller but the shipping costs mean that it would be cheaper to buy a broken Pro Rock’r in Europe.

    UPDATE:
I recently acquired a job lot of Jackson/Charvel vibrato spare parts from an ex-John Hornby Skewes employee.

I have used some of these plus a Fat Cat fat steel block to refurbish the JT-6 on my mongrel Model 3/1.

Meanwhile, I have appropriated some saddles with the correct stubby string locking block screws to complete the Schaller/Charvel vibrato. (Correct model number JT-570/590, depending whether it is double locking or single.) This has been upgraded with a fat brass block and a push-in arm receptacle. It is destined to go on my Model 2.

Finally, I have assorted parts that might add up to a JT-580 "Lo Pro" vibrato or two.
    Be seeing you.
