I have just joined the fretboard and thought I would introduce myself.   I am originally from Glasgow and now live in York ... well, for the last 16 years.  I have been playing guitar for over 30 years, played in a few bands and have had an obsession with building effects and amps for the last 10 years.  

After building a number of amps for friends and spending an innumerable amount of time reading, building, designing, playing etc I decided that I needed to fund my obsession before I went broke.   So, late last year I put together the beginnings of a website and started from there.  

I know that its extremely difficult to make money in this line of business and don't know if it will even work out.  However, if I don't try then I'll never know.  It also goes down better with my wife when I buy a new guitar and say that the last amp sale paid for it  =) .
