WTB: Bill and Becky/Wilde Pickups L500L or L500XL

What's Hot

OK, so this is a bit picky - basically, I'm after the bridge pickup Nuno uses. The requirements:

- NOT a Bill Lawrence USA pickup
- Must be a proper Bill and Becky (later Wilde Pickups) unit
- If it's from the 80s or 90s, the model is the L500XL
- If it's from about 1998 onwards, it's the L500L

The reason for this is that from the end of the 90s, they started winding their pickups much hotter.

So, can anybody satisfy my ridiculous requirements?

    That's a slight misonception.

They didn't wind them hotter. It was the opposite. They introduced a less-hot model.

There was no "XL" model originally, the high output one was the L500L. Then when they released a less hot model, they called THAT the L, and the original L became the XL.

Huh. I was basing it on stuff I got from other forums...honestly, it's been a long time since I got involved with all the Nuno stuff ;)

Dude! Have a look and let me know. Turns out the bridge pickup in my recent build is microphonic (as I discovered at rehearsal tonight), so this has become a bit more urgent.

EDIT: I can probably pop over one night this week and pick it up, if you're up for that. And maybe look at what else is in your spares box, if you want to offload any other pickups...

Sent you a message, with photos!

Other pickups are a rio grande mini humbucker, lace sensor dually purple & emerald (unused and boxed) and some Bill Lawrence tele micro coils

Oh, if you want to come over to collect that's obviously fine too!
