Put it this way. Bigjon gets up and plays.

Only kidding, he’s bloody amazing.

But seriously there are all levels - best is just to turn up one evening and just have a pint and watch. Not everyone in the pub plays, many pf them are just there to enjoy a bit of blooz. Then you can gauge it, meet a couple of people, see about playing the following week. Piece of cake.

Nah, I'm a shrinking violet, and my ability seems to halve when people are around.

That why it's good to do it, most people will be self concious at first, but it will help you get over it and improve.....wish I could find some folk to have a go.....

Well you live on an island Paul : ) I am in Lee on Solent and have met up with various people from the board to jam with. I'm tied up for a lot of the summer but if you want to arrange something later in the year for a bash I'm sure we could persuade @fuengi and maybe @danny1969 ;@MatthewShreddery and possibly @Trude who are all south coasters. There's a few scummers as well if we get desperate like @Sesh : )

@munckee - I'd be up for Hampshire-based jams, as long as I can provide the drummer (my 9-year old is already gig-seasoned and ready to show us old-timers how it's done!)

I'm also in Bishops Stortford if you fancy a jam at some stage. I'm also pretty terrible and try to make up for it by buying increasingly expensive guitars and pedals, as if this might magically improve things. Should probably just practice a bit more in many ways...
