Martins - more emphasis on sounding woody/darker/warmer & more traditional sounding.
But these are generalisations and things do vary from guitar to guitar.
What are you after Drew?
IMO, if you're looking for a Martin voiced guitar I'd recommend having a look at Furch. They make left handed guitars, but you might have order one.
Check this video out, a Martin v Furch one

imho the Martin thing is as much about a deeper/stronger fundamental as it is about warmer/less bright - although there are many folk more familiar with them than me.
I'm also a total sucker for the iconic look of a J45 so I'll say try those too :-)
I have one of the new Reimagined HD28s. It's flawless and the aged toner looked a bit plain yellow when I bought it in November last year but with time hanging on the wall the wood is aging and grain showing through nicely now and it doesn't look so new, this will only get better as the years roll by.
Tone wise I find the forward shifted bracing added some extra high end zing when new but that's starting to even out a bit and the sound become more balanced with time, especially with D'addario EJ17 strings fitted (I previously used Exilir nano coated)
The 1 3/4 nut width took a little time to adjust to from a previous D28 1 11/16ths but I don't notice it now.
I love Martin Guitars!
FWIW I loved my old Taylor 214 (and still think that's one of the very best sub-1k options around) but once the Martin "thing" hooks you in there's no going back.
"Authentic: of undisputed origin and not a copy; genuine."
I commented on a Vox Phantom organ guitar in another, completely unrelated thread.
Nothing whatever to do with my statement, or my dislike of marketing types highjacking language.
I could go on, but that was never & is not, my point.
As you might have gathered, I get hacked off with random descriptions like "Authentic" "historically-accurate" when not backed up by evidence/truth .
It's my bugbear, so please don't feel obliged to correct me when I'm not factually wrong
In answer to the point about being backed up by evidence/truth, Martin took real examples of each type from their museum and had them CAT scanned at the Smithsonian so they could replicate them in the custom shop. So, I’m not sure where you’re factually right on this one really....
