Looking for something thats low/mid output but not too bright  - maybe Alnico 3's ???

    I have a neck/centre pair of Fender Tex-Mex single coils. The stock magnets are A5 but the plastic bobbin construction means that you could press out the rod magnets and replace them with no possibility of harming the copper coil.

    I have a set of six A3 rod magnets saved from a dead Fender Highway 1 single coil. If you are interested, I'll have a rummage in the parts drawer.

    The Wudtone Wuddies 50/60 pickups (A3 / A5) are lovely - made by Marc at Mojo.

    I totally love KInmans - but the Wuddies are very, very special indeed.

    No worries mate - if it's A3 specifically you're looking for, Bloodstone does do a low-wind set for £90 (will tailor it to your specs at no charge too). Tonerider also have an A3 set that should be about £80 or so  (not handwound though, but I love my A5 set from them)

    Having said that - I have a spare unused set of Tonerider Pure Vintage. The bridge pickup is A3 on the plain strings and A5 on the wound strings...
