The Temperence Movement are cracking, saw them supporting Rival Sons recently who are also well worth a listen. Cry Of Love are not new but have a Black Crowes Connection:

Yep, I'm becoming like a broken record 'cause of these guys ;)

First album out on Sept 16th...got me some white vinyl pre-ordered.

Not actually a 'big amp' band though...more like teles and 335s into tweeds and stuff...but they are the droids you're looking for!

Exactly what I was thinking. Amazingly cool classic rock vibe. Richie Kotzen's vocals are so cool and I love the way he plays his guitar these days with just fingers (what I do most of the time).

That'd be The Rolling Stones Mick Taylor era then   :))

If you love the Black Crowes you've gotta check out The Stone Electric. Just superb..

Not a duff track on their debut album!

This might appeal - perhaps a little heavier/noisier than the other suggestions so far? Still very classic-sounding though.

  • How about the Deadstring Brothers? They've got a really strong mid period Stones vibe about them.

Thanks for the recommendation. Bought the album on the strength of your pointer and the video. Very good stuff indeed.
