Mr Sweet Home Alabama passed yesterday aged 68. I thought he'd got over his cancer but sadly not. His presence on many guitar forums will be greatly missed, one of the good guys gone home.

He was a great player and helped create a whole load of anthemic songs.

    RIP :(.

And SHA is in G, because he said so!

In an obituary in today's Times it mentioned that he was a member of Strawberry Alarm Clock and co-wrote their hit "Incense and Peppermints".

He celebrated his success by buying a Ford Mustang and eight new guitars which he put in the back of the car with the top down and took them for a ride.

That, my friends, is a mark of genius.
