@bridgehouse - I've updated the attendee list. There are 3 places opened up.

The next post will chase the 2 non-payers to confirm whether or not they're coming, and open up the 3 slots to the reserve list.

The attendee list for Quad shows you as not having paid yet. That might be because I've not seen your payment come through (in which case, PM me your PP name so I can double check), or because you've not actually paid! If the latter, please do the payment as that's really the confirmation that you're coming.

There are currently 3 open slots for the jam session. Looking at the reserve list, in order;

@billyk57 ; - moved to playing slot

@skinnyhead45 - moved to playing slot

@wezV - will be coming, but not playing
@pmbomb - moved to the bottom of reserve list per post below.
@mcToot - can't make it.

Please reply to this post saying (a) whether you still want to come, and (b) if you want to come, whether that'd be in a playing or observing capacity. There are 3 *playing* slots available now, so if you want them, let me know. I'll take them in order as listed.

For anyone wondering whether it's worth coming given that just about all the slots in all the songs now appear to be taken.

The answer is YES.

Firstly, if a song is super-popular, it'll get played more than once, so opportunities for more than one line-up to play it. And also, if you'd be a new attendee at the session, you take precedence over old-lags, who'll step aside to make sure that you get to play what you want to play.

@TTony - I had actually already notified @Bridgehouse that I wouldn't be able to make it. I'm flying off to Mumbai again that day. I guess he forgot to nuke me off the list.

But if anyone is teetering on the edge, DO IT. These are fab events and well worth any effort involved...

The normal approach is that those coming and playing get to suggest songs that they'd like to play, and the organising team aim to pick at least one from everyone's suggestions. Not always possible to guarantee the "at least one", but that's the aim.

Given that you'll be a new attendee and there's still a couple of months to the day, you get extra priviledges.

Give us a list of 3 songs that you'd like to do, and we'll put at least one of them on the list reserved for you.

If there are other songs on the list that you'd like to play on, put your name forward. Ignore that all the slots appear to be taken. We'll either do extra runs through a song, or people will step aside for you.

You'll be amazed at how good you'll get between now and the day given the focus that your practising/prep will now have! You'll also be amazed at how easy it is to play well within the supportive environment that these sessions are. So, go for it ... (though I'd say 3-5 songs is probably a sensible aim).

To be honest my main contribution to these is a general bonhommie and a proficiency in three chords (they're bloody good ones though).
