Recommend a shop for acoustic guitars

Considering selling for electric guitars, amp and pedal board. Play acoustic stuff 3/4 times a week as part of my job and the electric stuff never gets a look in! Too much £ sitting there for noodling once a week!! I think its time to buy a nice Martin and save the rest!! Have a superb Takamine which gets loads of live use but like another acoustic.
Preamble over....can anyone recommend best shop for quality acoustics? Live North West but will travel.
Ta jon

Frailers in Runcorn have a superb selection of used US brands - highly recommended.

For new guitars - including non-US makers such as Lowden & Aitken - Forsythes in Manchester is worth a visit.

+1 for Forsyths. I also rate Oasis in Ringwood (quality stock and nice people, but not a large range to choose from if you're travelling especially - but you'll want to buy every one they have), Project Music in Exeter and Guitar Village in Farnham.  But they're all a bit far away unless you're down this way fro another reason.

And +1 for Frailers: loads of stock, they let you try all the guitars with no hassles and they will help or leave you alone as desired. And they've got a toilet if you're going to be there a while!
I'm just a Maserati in a world of Kias.

Sounds Great in Heald Green. Reidys in Blackburn. Forsyths, Frailers are all decent for acoustics.

Daaaan South, Coda have their acoustic shop.

Really, really South you have the Acoustic Instrument Company, if money is no object.

I can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing I ain't pretty and my legs are thin

But don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to

Coda's acoustic shop is immense and they will do a trade in on electric stuff.

Express music in Coventry isn't too shabby either

The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

They may not be specialists in exclusively acoustic guitars but PMT are all right, if they have for sale what you want to buy.
"Working" software has only unobserved bugs. (Parroty Error: Pieces of Nine! Pieces of Nine!)
Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself

  • any chance you fine people can recommend such things for Birmingham also? All we've got are GG and PMT - and after you've played Martin, Taylor and Lowden, you're pretty much done with those.

You could take a drive across to Knighton. They’ve got lots of larrivees and other fine things.

Promenade music Morecambe. They have a good selection of new acoustics but very little used stock.
