Faith Guitars

ive seen a Faith 12 stringer that I want. The ad says it has a luthier repaired neck but it looks perfect. Does this guitar have a scarf neck joint as standard.

Yes, usually in the area behind the first and third frets.

Where on the neck is the "luthier repair" supposed to be?

Budget acoustic twelve stringers can suffer neck relief and truss rod adjustment issues. The odd fret could be higher than the others. Attention to these items could rightly be described as a luthier repair.

A common or garden headstock break repair would be given away by irregularities in the finish. The cost of a full-on refurbishment would vastly outweigh the value of a Faith guitar.
    Be seeing you.

  • I bought a  new Jupiter 12 string some years back and that had a scarf jointed neck. From memory, they were fairly slender necks for a 12 string.

  • Thanks for your comments, the scarf joint looks too perfect to be a repair.
The guitar is in an auction, so I think it has been misdescribed.
Ive left my bid and hope for the best.
