    I would say not. You should be able to return if within the cooling off period without any problem.  Before doing so, send pics to the supplier and do it quickly. Was there any damage to the package?

    No there was no damage in fact it was double boxed. The annoying thing is this is a replacement for one which had more problems!!

    I have sent photos and asked for their thoughts, part of me says it will be OK let it go but then it shouldn't be there.

    I'm not usually a serial moaner =)

    That would be more than enough to put an instrument in the b-stock section, so unacceptable for a new instrument. Send it back.

    Yes it would concern me. There appears to be a slight separation of the wood grain, not just a depression in the surface. On a second hand/B-stock guitar I would probably look at having it repaired, just to stop moisture getting in. On a new guitar I would want a fairly heavy discount to not send it back, and then get it repaired.

    It's not a huge deal, and older guitars do get far worse than this, but I wouldn't start off with a new guitar in this condition if you can avoid it.

    Agreed. I'm really not fussy about the odd ding, but I wouldn't accept that on a new guitar.
