Sad to hear this news. RIP.

I don't understand how these guys who were once super-fit are passing away at a young age.

I don't understand how these guys who were once super-fit are passing away at a young age.

Sometimes, as in my uncle's case although he's still alive, they combine unhealthy eating habits and increasing girth with exercise, and you can only do that for so long.
Some folks like water, some folks like wine.
    My feedback thread is here.

@rocktron OR @TTony - can we place this in Tributes.

Sad news and no age at all.

Feels strangely close to home this one despite him only playing for the mighty palace for 45 minutes. Seemed a genuinely nice bloke and very down to earth.

    RIP Butch

Despite not being a fan of the clubs he played for, Ray Wilkins' name featured regularly in my younger years due to his 80+ England appearances. Those were the days when England used to win games with style.

Always thought he was above any partisan sentiments, and seemed to be one of the 'good guysg.

    At 61, too. Blinkin' flips.

    RIP Ray Wilkins.

He was an alcoholic. A lot of them die young.

RIP Ray. Fond memories of the guy when he played and managed QPR.

As a Man U fan I love him playing for us, and always liked him as a player even when he left. I've been enjoying listening to him on Talk Sport radio every week, sad to think that he won't be there any more. So many tributes to him in the radio, he just sounds like he was an amazing guy who had time for everyone.

    RIP Ray

As a lapsed Man U fan, I’m very sorry to hear about his passing. Marvellous player. Seems like he was a nice guy. Didn’t know about the drinking..
    RIP
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.
