Brand-new looking Marshal JCM800 2203, looks great and sounds great! Valves are all in great working condition, has a little scratch to the torlex near the controls which can be seen in the pictures, but apart from that it looks almost new! This is a 2010 Reissue Model of the famous JCM800 2203 ('82-'84) as you can tell from the vertical inputs.

The only reason I am selling this beauty is because I am on a look out for a Marshall AFD100, so if you've got one and you're interested in trading let me know! obviously I'll pay the remaining balance coz I know AFD100's are going for about a thousand.

Features:
100 Watt Output
3-Band EQ
3 x ECC83 Pre-Amp Valves
4 x EL34 Power Amp Valves
Series FX Loop
Dimension(mm): 750 x 310 x 210
Weight(kg): 20.5

I prefer collection of the product but a courier or something could be arranged if necessary ;)

Price: £499.99
Location: Romford, Essex

Apologies for the off topic comment but have you tried an AFD? I was really excited to try one and was very disappointed and I had a 2203 at the time.

No I haven't but I've seen the sounds that it can reciprocate, i love that trembly crunchy hard rock tone that it provides, i feel the jcm800 might be a little too harsh to reciprocate such tone, whereas the afd seems to sound more brighter :3 , but how come you disliked it though?

The AFD reciprocates your great playing with great sounds?

I have sent you a PM so as not to spam your for sale thread but try one before you buy if you can, i was gutted when I played one.

Also have you tried clipping the bright cap on your 800, was the easiest and best mod I did to mine.

+1 I've had a few 800s and clipping the bright cap made a massive difference

I rather not be involved in anything to do with electronics, I'm not experienced with that kinda stuff but definitely something to keep in mind though, I was thinking of modding the amp to add a #34 and #36 mod too, but dont really know any amp techs lol

Seriously ozzy, the mod is simply snipping one wire and transformed my amp (particularly at lower volumes). It is totally reversable as well but you wont want to change it back once you have given it the snip ;)

Hi Ozzy - I have an older jump 2204 - 50w MV head - a service, some well chosen preamp valves and the bright cap mod - made a huge difference . Also what speakers are in the 4x12 youre using - another significant influence ..
Are you gigging this rig btw ?

Dan Gower is in Billericay so he is quite close to you ,I have had quite a few mods done to amps by him and I still own a Modded marshall I bought from him.His work is VERY GOOD

If you tell him what you are after tone wise then he will be able to sort you out

FWIW regards the AFD the circuit that is used by marshall in the AFD amp I believe it is meant to imitate the sound that slash got when he was using the SIR # 39 #36 modded amp but... the AFD marshall circuit is not the same as the SIR #39 #36 and I do not think the amp comes even close to slash tone in fact it couldn't sound further away

I have had two of the marshall AFD amps and both of them were truly F.ing awful sounding amps they were absolute shite ,no offense to any one who owns one.... and I have played a copy of the Tim Caswell SIR Mod #39 #36 which was outstanding and does the slash thing perfectly but it also is a great sounding amp and capable of way more than just the slash thing

you should really give Dan Gower a shout tell him what you want and I am sure he will be able to mod your 2203 and get you what you want
