[FS/FT] Marshall JCM800 2203 - SOLD
What's Hot
Brand-new looking Marshal JCM800 2203, looks great and sounds great!
Valves are all in great working condition, has a little scratch to the
torlex near the controls which can be seen in the pictures, but apart
from that it looks almost new! This is a 2010 Reissue Model of the
famous JCM800 2203 ('82-'84) as you can tell from the vertical inputs.
The
only reason I am selling this beauty is because I am on a look out for a
Marshall AFD100, so if you've got one and you're interested in trading
let me know! obviously I'll pay the remaining balance coz I know
AFD100's are going for about a thousand.

Thanks for that I might get in touch with that man to see if he can sort something out for me
Romford, Essex
Are you gigging this rig btw ?
im looking for something thats gonna deliver me that slash tone, which is why im looking for that afd100 , im not selling my cab atm only the head, but they have G12 speakers in 'em , and the rig is not currently being gigged
Dan Gower is in Billericay so he is quite close to you ,I have had quite a few mods done to amps by him and I still own a Modded marshall I bought from him.His work is VERY GOOD
If you tell him what you are after tone wise then he will be able to sort you out
FWIW regards the AFD the circuit that is used by marshall in the AFD amp I believe it is meant to imitate the sound that slash got when he was using the SIR # 39 #36 modded amp but... the AFD marshall circuit is not the same as the SIR #39 #36 and I do not think the amp comes even close to slash tone in fact it couldn't sound further away
I have had two of the marshall AFD amps and both of them were truly F.ing awful sounding amps they were absolute shite ,no offense to any one who owns one.... and I have played a copy of the Tim Caswell SIR Mod #39 #36 which was outstanding and does the slash thing perfectly but it also is a great sounding amp and capable of way more than just the slash thing
you should really give Dan Gower a shout tell him what you want and I am sure he will be able to mod your 2203 and get you what you want
