    People who play other people’s music at home
    People who play their own music at home
    people who play guitar as an accompaniment to eg singing
    people who play a couple of covers at a time at Open Mics 
    people who play a couple of originals at open mics
    people who play (hopefully paid) full gigs of covers as a perfect replication of the original
    people who play full gigs of covers without full replication of riffs, solos or tone
    people who play full gigs of originals
    professional session guitarists
    people who fix guitars (techs etc)
    people who make guitars
    people who sell guitars in a shop
    people who own a guitar shop
    people who design guitars

    Im sure there are more as well
    all of them develop their guitar playing to suit their immediate needs and goals, and there may be more than one at a time
