Logic Pro X Strings

Before I upgrade to X from 9, does anyone know if the string sounds are any better? I found the string sounds on 9 very weak.

I'm not gonna fork out for East West and I'm struggling to justify Komplete 9 Ultimate as I'll never use the modern sounds, nor do I need the plug ins. I will get Giant one way or the other though as it sounds fantastic on the demo I tried. I also need BFD 3 in my life so cost would be nice if I could keep it down.

Anyways, thoughts would be really appreciated.

I use Komplete 7 and Omnisphere for my orchestral stuff..

I feel like I'm doing pretty ok in the strings / brass area.. but I know that I really need to upgrade it all over the next few months..

for strings I'll be moving to LASS..

it's a lot of dosh but I have little much choice.. I gotta move up to the next level and keep up with the competition..
