"The Takamine CP3NYK New Yorker is an electro acoustic guitar ideal for professional use such as recording or live performances. It benefits from a red Cedar top, which is combined with back and sides in Hawaiian Koa, and a Mahogany neck. The Takamine CP3NYK has a 12-fret neck joint to take full advantage of the small new yorker (Parlor) body. Smaller bodies allow the guitar to be hugged closer to the player and allows for fingerstyle playing. Equipped with Takamine's legendary electronics, the CP3NYK features a CT4B II preamp to boost your performance."

Just because you're paranoid, don't mean they're not after youIt's got a huge, crystal clear acoustically plus the pickup is streets ahead. The slightly shorter scale length suits me (12th fret neck join) for what I play and I found the neck actually way more comfortable than the mini.
It's not really a fair comparison given the price difference, they're not direct competitors. I found that whilst the sound on the mini is big and bold, the body on this makes the sound much clearer whereas the mini has some muddying in the mids. The sustain from a simple a or g chord is ridiculous because of the through strings instead of pins and the hardware is beautiful. The other extra is the hardcase vs gig bag, although the Taylor bag is nice, the case for this is one of those that is reassuringly secure.
