RIP Harold Pendleton

Probably not a name known to many people here but Harold ran the Marquee, moving it to Wardour Street where it became, IMHO, the best venue for live music in London.

For those of us of a certain age a gig at the Marquee was something to aspire to and an evening to enjoy without getting ripped off.

Didn't know the name but loved the place.  They never had enough bottles of light ale though and my little gang often drank the place out by buying multiple light & bitters - those were the days.

Save a cow.  Eat a vegetarian.
