(Amended)Sheffield Bassists...Heads Up...80's Band Opportunity

This is a project that's been amended from the Dead Legends idea, too many cross genres in that, we saw too many marketing problems with it.  I'd still like to know if any of you find this appealing to you. Is there anyone in the Sheffield area who would like to consider joining a "Dead Legends" 80's covers band.

It's a project with the Drummer in my current gigging band. Our Bassist in that same band can't commit fully to yet another band, in case you were wondering.

We have a very good Keys player who is fully committed to the project and our excellent drummer, then there is this oddball Guitarist

We have a set outlined, but the Bass is the key factor to get it started, so, please just shout me a PM if you are remotely interested.

Material? Nothing too challenging if you're of a decent ability level. Maybe a bit of simple Slap ability would be a bonus. PM me for more details.

    I'm hoping so @SimpleSimon We have a Bassist now, a guy who I've known a while, we both tried getting a Funk Band together but could never get the thing truly off the ground, it slipped my memory that I'd posted this actually. We're supposed to be having our first meet up next week. I hope it doesn't just keep getting put back.

    Oddly enough earlier this evening ABC came on the radio and I was saying how Sheffield was a happening musical place in the 80s with ABC, The Human League, Heaven 17  and Def Leppard.  That’s half your set list anyway...good luck.

    Yeah, Sheffield never had it so good as we did in the 80's and then there was Cabaret Voltaire too, they were quite something, not my taste but still a talent.

    We've laid out a proposed set, but none of those are in there  :o

    No @SimpleSimon it didn't. It went through yet another change after that one and in the end it just didn't work out for various reasons.

    Still gigging with my regular band. This 80's thing was a side project.
