I've emailed with the serial number to see if I can find anything else interesting out, and to get a reliable replacement value for the insurance
I did like the mix of really cheap tools and really decent machinery - looks like each bit is just right for its job.
I have Blue Spruce cabinetmakers paring chisels, I got for my 60th, hand forged A2 steel with Cocobolo handles, honed on #8000 Japanese waterstone you can shave with them !, well the hair on yer forearm that is.

If ya think being a guitar player is bad with the affliction of GAS - if you take to building you can fall foul of TAS *tools' and then WAS "wood' - buying the occasional guitar is pretty straight forward compared to all this stuff.
