The moment the bond becomes complete...

What's Hot
TimmyOTimmyO Frets: 6976
Had a first 'rehearsal' (more like picking songs and trying out different Duo combinations of dual guitars/guitar + bass) with my new duo partner (and former bandmate) tonight and took both of my acoustics.

The Martin 000 didn't put a foot wrong in 4 hours. Easy to play, sounded lovely and balanced, sounds just as sweet when Capo'd and generally very very easy to live with. that was it - the moment the bond completed.

Going to be nerwracking at pub gigs with a 2k guitar but them's the breaks :-)

Happy.

    Excellent news :)

Just remember it's worth less than a gibson plus DrZ plus board-full if pedals. And make sure it's insured!

Also if there's a stage invasion, don't hit anyone with the guitar.

It's so light I'd be better hitting them with a withering stare

Don't worry about using it at pub gigs, it's what guitars are made for, as long as you don't leave it on its own, I have never understood (unless it's a rare vintage guitar) the worry of taking a valuable guitar to a gig, it's literally what they're made for.

I understand the concern but as @Strangefan says, just exercise appropriate caution. If I'm gigging somewhere where punters can get anywhere near my guitars, then they go back in their cases after soundcheck and don't come out until right before my set. Depending on how things pan out they might go back in their cases during breaks too, and they always go straight back in right after the last number.

In terms of theft, I always figure something is more likely to get nicked outside from a car rather than inside a venue so if I'm on my own and loading a PA in and out as well then guitars are always the first thing in and the last thing out. Even when helpful people see you loading and bring your guitars out to you (it happens sometimes), they go back into the venue until I'm ready to leave.

Never had anything damaged or nicked so I'm sticking with it!

Got it used a few months ago after my lengthy mumbling on here about a fancy guitar purchase.

I'm pretty sure that's the one @chrisv reviewed and was very pleased with - Chris?

I've only ever before declared 4 as 'keepers' and they are all still here, one of them 14 years on (youngest of them is 7).
