This seems to have prompted a lot of criticism. Personally I can't see the point of comparing a £1500 Gibson SG with this horrendous looking thing. Comparing it to an Epi of the same kinda price would be much more realistic. Nobody is going to be choosing between these two guitars.

I didn't think it sounded too bad in that vid, but it does look like it was painted with trade emulsion and a heavy hand!

My 11 year old could have given it a better finish.

It may not have sounded too bad, but I'd wager that an Epi of the same price or even less would sound as good if not better, have better features and look nice with it.

Sounded OK, never understand why people have such a prejudice against Epiphones though, maybe it comes down to paraphrasing Danish Pete: "I'd rather have this dull thing with Gibson on it than a pretty SG with Epiphone on it".

I have the white custom pro, they are very good guitars and look lovely

And this is why my Gibson SG has plummeted in value thanks to Gibson making SGs which look like they were made in the dark.
