Selling my 1990s The Twin amp. Great amp but I`ve gone back to a head and varying cabs.

Sounds great on both channels. Can run at 100 or 25 Watts, or you can pull two tubes to run it at 50w. Channel change footswitch not working, but you can plug into either channel (or blend channels) from the front, and I can include a Fender a/b/y pedal if needed. I`ve tended to use it as a pedal platform.

Great amp - there are some good demos on YT including Mick Taylor playing one with John Mayall I believe. Robben Ford and Robin Trower alos used to use these as preferred backline amps. Still works fine even if your name isn`t Robin...........

Only looking to recoup what it owes me - £300

Based in North Wilts if you want to come and try. Def needs to be collection only as it`s HEAVY!

I used to have one of these. Loud and very very heavy.

Great amp though and a hell of lot of amp for £300. Bargain!

I had one and sold it a few year ago, great amps cost £35 to post it I recall.

Out of idle curiosity, how far are you from Newbury?

OK thanks. TBH it's a bit far to ask my brother in law to trek and if I'm being totally honest it's waaaaay too much amp for me.  I just can't resist nibbling at well priced Fender amps, even if they are larger than my front room (where it would see it's only action) and louder than Concorde.

Truly, one of the amp worlds finest all rounders. And you can be heard in the Hebridies with it

Arghhhhh I'm local to you, but broke. Otherwise I'd be all over this !

    Unless anyone fancies buying a Jet City JCA50H & a 4x12 quickly

As a former resident of Stornoway, I can confirm that you CAN hear a red knob twin but it's only just about audible above the noise of all the fucking seagulls.

weight is 77 lbs according to google. It does have wheels tho`

I don`t think it`s too loud - It`s got a couple of valves pulled to run at 50w currently and that puts it really nicely into the zone when using the clean channel at band levels.

If you send me a pm I`ll mail them to you - having issues getting photobucket to work - used to be fine, not so much now! :-(

I use Photo bucket and manage to get it to work.

Select the pic you want to use, then right click on the "Direct" link. It should say "copied".

Then click the "Insert Image" icon in your post (delete all the http and other characters in the box), and paste your pic link into it.

It doesn't work 100% of the time, but normally the pic will appear.

I'm amazed the amp hasn't already gone TBH. Good luck anyway.

Cheers - worked perfectly! I used to just copy the direct link into the body of the comment - but that seems to have stopped working!

Sold to a nice guy from a FB group - turned up when he said and din`t haggle - brilliant.

As always, plugged in to demo and the amp sounded great.................. heart sorry to see this one go - back, much less so! :-)

  • Yes I had one. Loved it but never ever had it anywhere past about 2 on the volume and on the lower wattage setting. Mega heavy and super loud! Sounded brilliant though. I'm onto a Classic 30 now but I still don't get to crank that very often.
