For sale only (oh my word I have been a bad man with gear recently).

It`s had a life for sure.
It has been recovered sometime long ago and had been converted to a ss rectifier. It`s been put back and revalved and it sounds very good indeed!

It`s up on Facebook for £400 but that`s to contend with the usual low balling idiots that frequent the gear groups. I`d take £300 for a quick sale. (I have been really, really bad).

Shippping is no problem if you`re willing to pay.
I`m based in Hull if you want to collect.

    Oh, one more thing.
Some genius decided to chop the power lead and wire in a Bulgin.
    It now has an IEC.
I can get a new back panel sorted for it if you so wish. It will add to the price though.

You'd stand more of a chance of selling this if you moved it to the classifieds....

Log in and put your cursor on the grey title bar, then click the black gear wheel on the right.

Cheers @mtb I was just rushing through the ad and forgot.

Ha! It's not so bad. If I could remember Gunnery sergeant Hartman's unlocked footlocker rant from Full Metal Jacket I'd quote it.

Thanks. Nice Hiwatt you're shifting. I was just looking at that. @aidanspaghetti

  • 90 percent sure I have a 1x12 that is for this head, or atleast a very similar one. have you got a picture or what the original looked like. Always wondered what the 1x12 was (no logo, nothing on the speaker) pretty sure my dad said it was a selmer or something, and he said sometimes him and his bassplayer would use his amp at the same time.

he ended up swapping the selmer head for a jtm45 which was left in the loft for 35 years. It turned out that that jtm45 was one of the first 20 ever made! (they werent numbered and telling which one it is is pretty much impossible)

Anyway, if you could find out what the original cab looks like/would have looked like and it is the same as the one I have then I may have this off you!

    I know!

Dad said we had a marshall in the loft, I said get it down, and had been saying that for years but it was broken so he never bothered, and I assumed that it was a crappy old SS amp.

He got it down and I instantly told him this is a massive deal. Took it to marshall hq, they said the output transformer had gone and a few tubes and a few pots. They fixed (not replaced) the pots and offered to replace the output transformer. But we ended up taking the transformer to a specialist place and had the owner of this transformer making company re wire it. put it back together and it sounded amazing! was valued anywhere between 10k and 25k because of condition. Marshall said about 15k.

Me not being as savvy (and dad never has been) he put it on ebay and it sold a fair bit bellow that to one of the guys from denmark street. we got a lot, but nowhere near what it was worth, mostly due to lack of postage option and putting it on ebay!

but that payed for a family holiday and two weddings, including my mum and dads who had been together 21 years but never could afford to get married.

I would love to buy it back off that chap ni denmark street when I am older and can afford it!

Just checked too, and he had a selmer combo not stack. The thing I was talking about was a solid state "linear" head and cab. Nevermind!

Anyways Goodluck with the sale mate!
