Selling my DoubleSix to make way for a new thing. It's going to be reverted to 6V6 tubes as it's really running the transformers at their limit with the 6L6s in it. Just waiting for the new biasing resistors to turn up and they'll get swapped back in.

*SOLD*

Pickup would be preferred, but I'd have a go at shipping it at cost or meet halfway within reason.

  • Colour me very interested in that :)

What's the dimensions of the head please (just want to check it won't look out-of-place on my cab)?

That looks quite lovely, did you make the cab yourself? B-)

Yep Martin at MJW made me the cab and is indeed constructing it's replacement for me. I'm only selling as it's replacement will cover the same sort of ground and then some ;)

    52.5cm  wide x 23.5cm high x 22cm deep.

The resistors have just turned up so it'll get it's 6V6s back in tomorrow. Which reminds me that I really should sell the 6L6s.

This is a lovely sounding amp. Barry's done a great job with doing something a bit different that covers all those clean/not-quite-clean/slightly-crunchy/quite-crunchy sounds that are often neglected.

John's build quality is excellent, so you need have no worries there. The cab's quite good too ;)

He's currently reworking his kits, too.  So I'm holding off on purchasing one until then...

Princeton Reverb head essentially ;) I'm a little bit awkward that way.

  • I built a PP18 and was going to build a Double-Six when Barry discontinued it as a model. My current band prefers me to play clean, so I am using an MJW Orion.  Ch 1 is based on the JTM45 circuit and everyone seems to love it.

Hmm, Princeton Reverb head.. I wonder if Martin could do a 22w deluxe (no tremolo required)
