You need to use the cog on the upper right hand side of your thread and move this to the amp sales page :-)

It's worth widening your search for BadCat too. I've had several of all 3 brands and the BadCats are the ones that stayed.

    What about a Morgan AC 40 ?
has a half power switch to 20 watt
Similar type of amp and sound - basically like the best AC 30 you ever heard but slightly darker sounding

Badcat has always interested me but I think I sway towards DR Z, essentially i'm after an amp that I can get into a decent overdrive that I can clean up with the volume pots

That's not a Drz in my experience (I have 3)
Bad cat is a better amp for overdrive

    If you want cleans however
You can't beat the sparkle of a Dr z

Most of the lower wattage el84s do this. I prefer Dr Zs Maz 18s but have also used Cornell 18/20, Marshall and 65 L'il Elvis and they all do the job. All slightly different flavours but all in the same tonal universe. I am selling the Li'l Elvis if you're interested although at 12 watts it's not suitable for larger gigs unless you mic up.

Dr z is perfect for what you want. I'v a maz 18r and a remedy and they're both really responsive to pick attack and guitar volume.

My bad cat classic cat is perfect for that.
It's for sale here in the classifieds. Bargain price.
