K-line Tele pickups - what's similar?

This sounds like a Tele should. I appreciate that you can buy pickups from K-line, but who is making pickups sounding like this domestically?

    Agree, definitely more midrange honk than high-end, maybe quite a hot wind? Could also be the rig he's using though.

    Interesting. My experience of Tele pickups is v mods, Dimarzio Areas and whatever is in a friend's vintage 60's Tele. Areas have a more musical character than v mods but don't do the middle spank thing great. The v mods did but are a bit sterile sounding to me. The old 60's ones are perhaps the best I have played through - lots of clarity without being overly bright.

  • He used to use Klein Broadcasters in his builds, so I'd suggest something Broadcaster-ish
