The whole thing is worth watching, but head to the 23 minute mark for a triumph of functionality and creativity over originality.

I bet it’s actually an amazing instrument.

You know, I don't mind that. I have a  different reaction to modifications that are done well and in keeping with the 'spirit' of the guitar rather than 'lash-ups' that somehow spoil the symmetry or balance of a design. The Gibson I highlighted in a previous post that had a Kahler with a nasty black spacer and an over large 70s style bound headstock, looked like a bodge-together. The 58 Strat looks like something Fender might have made for a customer in the 80s (thinking of the HM Strat I used to own).

    Toe-May-toe, toe-Marr-toe?
Let's call the Hole thing off.

Americans tend to say KAY-ler. I prefer KAR-ler, to rhyme with Gustav Mahler.
    Be seeing you.

I would say its Kay-ler as in an interview with Gary Kahler at no point does he say or correct the interviewer about the pronunciation of Kahler (Kay-ler)

I'd be more upset that some idiot of a "tech" split the headstock fitting the new machineheads. There's no excuse for that.
