Planet 9 WTF?

So, BBC reporting there may be a planet hiding out beyond Neptune, in our solar system, that's three times as big as earth.

So we can find Pluto and rocks as big as your hand but not some sizeable ice world?

We can find earth like planets light years away, but only just spotted this one?

Is it the mythical Niburu or a Death Star just passing through? Or maybe Melancholia, that was hiding I think.

    Planet 9, if it exists, is likely to have a highly elliptical orbit which doesn’t lie in the Galilean plane. Don’t forget that there are other large objects out there in the Kuiper Belt beyond Pluto, such as these https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trans-Neptunian_object

    It's a long way out and completely dark. That makes it very difficult to find.

    Other planets in other solar systems are found by various means that involve looking at the star. Looking at our sun is not going to help us find a planet that's in the opposite direction.
