Hi everyone. Selling my vintage Leslie 18. They were made in the early 70’s as rotating speaker specifically designed for guitar. The Leslie 16 was also sold as the fender vibratone and famously used by Stevie Ray Vaughan. The Leslie 16 had a 10” speaker. The Leslie 18 has a 12” speaker. These are also used extensively by The War On Drugs, and many others.

It’s in a very ‘used’ state (see pics) but working as it should. It has had a dedicated speaker Jack fitted (a common mod to do away with the overly complicated crossover they came with) and the speaker has been changed to an 8ohm vintage RCF - also common for the speakers to be changed as they came with a 4ohm speaker as stock. The 8ohm makes it more usable with most amps and avoids an impedance mismatch.

It doesn’t currently have a footswitch with it and is set to the fast speed. They’re available online or someone with the skills could make one.

The closest I can find to this for sale online is a Leslie 16 on reverb for £1350.

Listing this for £750 NOW £500 to reflect the condition, missing footswitch, and for a quick sale. Collection from Hertfordshire

  • Whoever buys this should deffo get the footswitch -- the slow speed on them is amazing. It's the best chorus effect ever.
