Very rare and very cool Gretsch Town and Country in original (tatty, but structurally sound) tweed hard case. Very good demo of a similar one here:



Great to play and amazing for recording, its loud but very articulate, not boomy at all which is suprising given the size, it's much more midrangey than you might expect. Works very well for playing in a duo, with solo work on this really standing out. 



Pickguard is completely destroyed and probably the best thing to do is to remove it really as it's starting to crumble. All the other Town and Countrys I have seen have had replacement scratchplates so it's clearly a common issue. Has also had replacement tuners and there are a few scrapes around the holes there. Also has a few dings and bits of wear here and there but generally in pretty good condition for its age.

£2350 NOW £2150 NOW £1950 which I think is a pretty decent bargain for a rare and very cool guitar. Collection or meet up only (ideally near High Wycombe but can travel), may consider p/x of something vintage.
