Firstly, I am NOT an acoustic player. I started on electric and just never took to acoustic. I love the sound, love the style etc but hated the feel.

However, I came across this and it just felt right. I would go as far as saying a guitar has never felt so nice to play. 

Behold, my Taylor BT2:

    assuming its a serious question  -   part of the bolt on neck,  Im assuming the diminutive size doesnt allow for the normal block/bolt of a full size  ??  not sure

    Yeah, it's a bolt on!

    It projects superbly. It really suits a player used to electric as the neck is super slim and the action is low. It's really a joy to play and cost me about £200

    Yeah, serious question. Never seen that before. 

    Ah, I'd have guessed something like that. Thought it might be for adjusting the angle or something too.

    Makes sense when you see it from the back ^. Nice idea.

    I think it’s a Taylor “thing” mine was the same.

    Baby Taylors have always had those visible screws, I think most other models have bolts which screw in from the opposite direction which you access through the soundhole.

    Mind you, never had a Taylor. Apart from my early days when you just couldn't get 'em without heading to London, it seems to have either been Martin or Gibson that I've had.

    Small cheap mahogany acoustics certainly on a roll atm. One thing that put's me off about Taylors is that they usually come with electrics but this one doesn't. I love the way your particular BT2 has the curved book-matched grain on the top. Nice. Enjoy. Try Monels.

    And don't worry about the bolts. If they worked for Frankenstein they'll work for you. :-)
