Appreciate this one's a bit niche, however I'm looking for a proper CuNiFe WRHB - thinking Creamery / Lollar / Catswhisker.

Anyone got one going spare?

  • I think only Fender do proper cunife WRHBs, unless that Telenator guy is still doing them.

I have a Creamery Baby '71 for sale if that's of any interest. Currently on eBay but could take it down.

I have a pair of Creamery WRHBs (in a Tele Deluxe, natch!) but they’re going nowhere. They’re not CuNiFe but they’re worlds apart from the generic humbuckers that Fender was putting in their MIJ guitars a few years back.

Yeah, Mojo and Fender are the only game in town for CuNiFe. That said the similar ones from Lollar and Creamery are said to be excellent as well, using alnico and something like CrCeFr.

From what I’ve read I don’t think the magnet material is particularly important compared with the overall magnetic strength and pickup construction.

  • I'll have a spare pair if you want a matched set - am doing a shootout between Creamerys and reissue Fender CuNiFes later this week to decide which ones I want to keep in my Jazzblaster.

Thanks for the offer - I jumped on JohnnySeven's creamery above, so this is now sorted.

However, let us know how your jazzblaster turns out. Half tempted to call dibs on it, as I'm hankering for one myself...

No worries and good choice - my initial impression is that there is very, very little to choose between the two. Enjoy!
