Very nice!   Have been very tempted by SB59s for a long time.   Almost bought one off here a while back, but seller withdrew.  Can't really justify buying one now, but I'm still curious about how it would play.

    Hope you're enjoying it .

I am thanks dav. It plays great. Ill admit not as smooth as my 1979 gibson lp custom, or the R8/9 i tried recently before buying which was like butter, but all the things that matter, sound, expression response. Absolutely A1. The v version i tried played as good with that worn in feel, but couldnt justify a 33% increase on price and preferred the sound of the SD59 vs lollars. Just a bit more necessary bite for me.

nice one daz, yeah the finish is really stellar. Only machines in the factory are buffing machines so they do come pristine on the finish, all hand done etc. Finish, fretwork  was way better than even the new LP standards i tried.

Glad to hear another fan teye. The specs are insane quite right. Very tempted on another one . Kind of hoping they do a single coil strat in near future. For me i think the price is insanely cheap and their pedigree of hand made orchestral instruments and wood access really shows.
    Looks fantastic!
Cheers hotshot. Pics dont really do justice and whilst the flame is mild from a lot of angles, the whole thing, including mahogony body and neck really change in light or a tilt of the body. Kind of holographic thing going on, especially on the back.

Anyone interested in these should check out the vid below. A typical online review. Went up against ($1500)  a murphy lab r9 ($7000) and a heritage H150 ($2800). Just a shame they didnt compare the V version as i think may have been a different outcome vs the murphy lab.

Im after the newly released Juliet next. It’s kind of quirky and a bit out there. It’s also my daughter’s name, so I’m experiencing a rare moment of sentimentality. :)

Ooof!. Had no idea. so they are quietly going into fender style . And im after a tele as well. Just checked a few YT vids and the p90 version twangs like a strippers g string. <3

tis a quality piece of kit make no mistake but sorry, that horn............ like the Tokai DC...........just too "rounded"    , that's why the Maybach swings it for me...........................
just because you don't, doesn't mean you can't
just because you do, doesn't mean you should.

No need for apologies. Its tone and player response for me that would swing it. Aesthetics, i  think eastmans look nicer, especially in their aged form but the maybach cases are extremely nice.

That’s as nice an SB59 as I’ve seen. I have a black one, with SD Pearly Gates. Great guitars. And so light compared to a typical LP, even custom shop LPs.

I have never been a LP fan but that guitar looks SUPERB ,might even turn my head and alter my opinions.
I just hope it plays as good as it looks ,with NO mods.
    Enjoy.

Thought id update nearly 18 months on.
They are proper pretty and love different angles, perhaps not caught in previous pics, so thought id take another one.
Ive spent another 150 with local tech since purchase, getting it on the jig, perfect the frets to lower the action by filing the nut a bit deeper, slicken the playing experience. Zero LP gas since purchase. Fit and finish is insane and screams hand perfected product.
    still £1500 new.

    Dont worry, be silly.

I’ll add that having picked up the p90 Juliet it has become my main guitar. Very versatile, incredible sound and just an absolute belter on every level. It is definitely the perfect fender-Gibson cross-over. Great guitar.

After seeing The Guitaristas video on his new SB59V it really got my interest. They were never on my radar before, but now they definitely are.
