BROKEN CASE LATCH

Massive :+1: for GG Birmingham.

A latch on the Gibson Dove Original case broke within days of getting it it home. I contacted them and they offered a straight swap - same model case.

As if that wasn't enough, they are paying shipping costs of the new case and the broken case back to them.

Cheers Glen, thanks mate :)

Great service indeed from GG, but it sounds like more yet more poor quality control from Gibson.

... yeah, but then it won't be the original case for the guitar.

    :)

I have actually heard of someone rejecting an expensive PRS for that reason. The shop had offered to swap an identical case from a different example of the same model for his very slightly damaged one, and the buyer rejected the whole package because it "wouldn't be the original case".

Gibson don't make the cases, they buy them in - just for once, this can't be blamed on them!

I just wanted the exact same case with all the latches working :). Thanks to GG I'll have that tomorrow.

Free, too. Can't be bad. Just thought this from GG Birmingham deserved a shout :)

True, I believe it's usually TKL but given that Gibson put their name on them with a large logo, I reckon my comment about quality control can still apply ;)

I just wanted a case that does what it should, you know?

Yes, it bust but so can anything and a replacement will do me just fine :)

Good on them. I think its only fair that we should highlight the good examples of things alongside the bad ones.
