Hello all……
I am looking for a power with lots and lots and lots of outputs. A cursory search turned up the Truetone CS12….this doesn’t have lots and lots and lots of outputs…but more than most.
So…..does anyone know of a PSU with more..??…..x15 would be ideal.

Cheers,

Andrew.

  • The Walrus Audio Phoenix has 15.  It’s expensive and I’ve not used one, but it does get really good reviews….

Alternatively you could go strymon like me - you can get a used Zuma and a couple of Ouija expansions and you’d have about 18 outputs.  Super high quality and quiet - but again not cheap

Another option would be to get a Zuma and then a gigrig isolator or two to use with it.  Again you can get those used if you look around and I know people have done this successfully.

Sorry I don’t have any to sell (except some complete cheapos from Amazon).  But hopefully this advice is useful!!

  • @Jonnicholas many thanks for the helpful info….The Walrus Audio PSU looks ideal….I can’t bring myself to pay out for the Strymon stuff….it all seems massively overpriced…especially for a basic piece of kit like a PSU .

  • True!  That’s why I always buy second hand ;)

Ciocks DC7 and 8 block expander might suit,  but pricey (albeit also very versatile).

@Benm39 good call. It appears there are many different options out there…..I can’t quite square why they are all so bloody expensive though.

It is pushing me in the direction of building my own.

The Harley Benton ISO ones are crazy good value. They definitely do a 12 output one, which might work with a bit of daisy chaining, or run it with a separate Harley Benton PowerPlant Jr which can be picked up for £15-20.

That would come in a LOT cheaper than the premium brands.

  • @Slimbert - Nice. That’s more like it….cheers.
I think I’ll order the ISO-PRO10 and continue to use my existing ‘claimed’ isolated PSU for the other pedals….fingers crossed it will get rid of the whining a couple of pedals are making.
It would be nice it pedal manufacturers stated the actual current draw rather than their pedals rafter than what they would like them to draw….Red Panda…I’m looking at you…!!!

I recently did what I mentioned above. I used the ISO-12 with a PowerPlant Jr on a huge board with 17 pedals, and with a basic Donner noise gate, it was fine even when stacking four drive pedals at a time in to the front of a cranked 70's 50w valve amp. That value for money is hard to beat.

  • I'm about to put up a complete Gigrig system up for sale. Its a Generator, a Distributor, three Isolators and a couple of Timelords all with a bunch of cables.

Best power supply on the market.
