Added 51 nocaster pickups, brand new in package, never got around to installing them. £105. SOLD

£5 to ship UK mainland. PayPal friends and family.

Bought this with the intention to build a partscaster which never got up and running. I've photographed all of the knocks, of which there are a few. Will make for a nice project I'm sure.

Collection in London or can post for a tenner.

  • Who made it? What's the finish type, weight etc... enquiring minds want to know!

  • It's a Fender, the finish is Poly by the looks. I believe this was from one of the 2000's US standards, but not entirely sure because I didn't own it form new. Maybe someone can chime in with a better insight?

As for the weight, I only have digital bathroom scales and it's adding an extra 2.0 kg with me holding it - so that would be around 4.4lbs give or take.

Hmm, well it's not a US Standard as it would have had a 2-point trem, plus slightly different body routes too and extra labels. Bit of a mystery I'm afraid - it may help to pull the copper shielding and see if any of the labels and/or manufacturing marks are left underneath?

Try measuring the trem-hole spacing, heel width, and body depth. That'll help rule out some of the usual suspects at least, and answer more q's that prospective buyers may have about hardware compatibility etc smile

I recognise this finish… I’ve stripped many of them.

It looks like a polyester or polyurethane on basswood/poplar.

The guitar should be a Japanese fender ST62 reissue.

I hope some of this helps.

  • Thanks everyone for the input, I didn't realise I'd set off an investigation upon listing this one! I bought it as a "US" Fender body - whether this was intentional misinformation on part of the seller, I will never know.

I've changed the title accordingly and will take some measurements when I get home, more clues to piece together.

Will also see if the copper shielding will budge without too much effort, in which case I'll take a peek underneath.

Trem hole spacing is 57mm from halfway of the screw holes from high to low E strings. Body depth is 46mm. Heel width is 56mm.

The shielding is applied to well for me to get underneath without really going to town on it sorry.
