  • Thanks @FelineGuitars. Quick question that I’m hoping you can answer. I’m looking to add output to my SD parallel axis PATB-1, but I want to keep the tone. Is the preamp good at increasing the output but leaving the EQ as original?

sadly can't speak from experience as i haven't had a chance to instal one yet but I was hopeful of that being the case

The Blackout preamp is half the DNA of the blackouts. It'll impart that sort of tone on your pickups.

EMG PA2 may suit you better as it just gives a preset level of gain if you want it but does give you a low impedance output

  • Ok that looks interesting. My guitar (Washburn X81) only has a volume pot and a two toggle input selector and I’m not keen on drilling a hole in the body. Do you think I could get away with putting it in the cavity alongside the battery?

also do you have it in stock and how much?
