SOLD!

Incredibly rare and incredibly green JB, wound by Seymour Duncan master winder Maricela Juarez.

Regular spacing, but as you can see I had it in my Floyd Rose'd Charvel without issue.

I've had a lot of JBs over the years and this one sounds particularly awesome. Very clear, no mud, and not too hot like the modern ones seem to be.

£80, but open to near offers.

This is a very rare and very awesome pickup from a bygone era.

8" of wire left.

    custom shop
    Not so, I'm afraid. :s

SD Custom Shop pickups have an orange model identifier label and come in fancy cardboard packaging rather than the familiar clear plastic boxes.

The official term for what you have is a production floor custom. In this instance, the "custom" aspect is the non-standard coloured butyrate bobbins. If you have the original packaging, the card insert should be orange.

A white label MJ-wound SH-4 JB pickup commands respect. I have at least two to my certain knowledge. IMO, your green example would go well in a PRS SE Standard Camo model.

    Be seeing you.

Thank you for clearing that up! I wasn't trying to mislead anybody, I'm merely repeating what the chap I bought it off advertised it as. Ive removed all mention of custom shop.

Either way, it's a stonking pickup and sounds amazing, and I've literally never seen another bright green JB so it's very rare indeed.

Anybody interested in this coloured bobbins business, search t'Interweb using the key words Seymour Duncan Production Shop Floor Custom. (The words production and shop seem to be freely interchangeable, depending on the author.) This should find you an SD website blog page that explains all of the order options - including the bobbin colo(u)rs.

Unfortunately, all of the good work of the company blogger is undermined by several dumb customer questions that follow.
    Be seeing you.
