Any good FingerStyle guitars for under £1k?

Im thinking of upgrading to a solid wood guitar. But the budget might be too tight for a solid wood one. I wouldn't mind buying a laminate one as long as the playability is good.

Rose wood back and sides would be preferred, tops must be solid (any wood for the top is fine).

Im currently playing on a Yamaha CPX 500iii

Im primarily a FingerStyle player any recommendations would be appreciated! (I also included a video of me playing as "FingerStyle" could be ambiguous, here is my "FingerStyle" if that makes any sense.

Thank you!

Really impressed with your playing :)

i would strongly recommend not getting fixated on solid/laminate, or any particular brand or model or wood combination.  Simply go out and try as many guitars as you can.  Listen carefully to your own instincts and buy one that feels right and sounds right to you.

Thanks for the reply, as for my playing, I still have a lot to learn.

Shame that theres a pandemic and a lockdown in my area, im not able to go to guitar shops :anguished:

The media has definitely skewed my preception on guitars, to almost neglecting the most important point, does it play well in your hands.

Again, thank you and take care!

The Eastman AC322CE is just under £1k. Might be worth a look.

It's a new model so I have no personal experience of it.

    Nice playing by the way.

    +1

and with acoustics, get a mate whose playing you like to go with you and play the guitars you like too so you can hear how it projects.

Eastman E10 OM has a mouth watering spec. Red spruce and mahogany with a 3/4 nut.  It’s a pretty stunning guitar.
a shade over £1000 but there’s always deals to be had.
As I’ve said a million times, the standard of Far Eastern lutherie is incredible for the price

This is a marvellous opportunity to visit music shops and try guitars. Be prepared to take your time. You are more likely to get better value by going secondhand.

you can pick up professional level solid wood guitars used for £1200 or so reasonably often

There may be other brands that are good but a little less cash than the ones I am thinking of
eg: EU-made Stonebridge: saw one go for £750 2 months ago on ebay

@H20Luis ;Eastman E6OM-TC is one of the nicest fingerstyle guitars I've stocked in recent months. Thermo-Cured (that's torrified in Martin Guitars language) and amazing spec adds up to a smashing guitar for just over 1k.

All solid woods, lovely nitro finish, £499.
I got rid of a Martin 000 and ended up with one of these. Amazing bang for the buck. I’ve a NGD day on here somewhere ...will edit and post a link shortly.
